1.20.2021 – “…but God, I trust in YOU!”

No matter what we face…

No matter how intimidating the “giant” that stands before us is…

No matter what we see playing out with our eyes…

No matter “what time it is”…

This we can declare:

“…But God, I trust in You!”

How many times does God remind us in His Word to trust in Him, no matter what?

Don’t you think there is a good reason for it?

Don’t you think the reminder to “trust” is important,

because He knows it might be a challenge,

because He knows it won’t be easy in the times we must trust in the midst of what we are seeing, and in the midst of what we are not yet seeing?

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”—Proverbs 3:5-6

When you think of “trusting with all of your heart”… what do you think of?

I think of the trust of a little child. They often do not have the “understanding” do they? And yet they trust— wholeheartedly.

“Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will do it.“—Psalm 37:5

Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is our refuge. Selah”—Psalm 62:8

Trust in Him at “all times”…

Even when it’s hard

Even when the situation feels “impossible“…

Even when it looks “unlikely” or “hopeless“…

Declare your trust in Him in spite of how you feel or what you see!

Why would He take great care to remind us time and time, and time again in His Word,

if it wasn’t such an important thing for us to remember in our hearts?

Do you know, the times when I have chosen to trust God—when it’s been the hardest to trust…

In the midst of a troubling situation…

Tears in my eyes, an aching in my heart…

I have never once regretted continuing to TRUST in Him!

And when I look back, I have ALWAYS found myself amazed at how He carried me through.

So don’t lose heart!

Don’t lose hope!

Trust in your God, and keep trusting!

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.”—Isaiah 26:3-4

No matter what you see with your eyes,

and no matter what kind of thoughts try to swarm your mind,

no matter what what you feel trying to pound its way into your heart…

Set your eyes, set your mind, set your heart… on the One who is trustworthy!

Ask Him to help you to “see” with the eyes of faith.

As you declare…time and time and time again…

“….But God

…. I trust You!

And TRUST HIM, even when it’s the hardest time to trust.

…for this does far more than we can comprehend. ???

He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.”—Psalm 112:7

He wants to help us with this— it’s His heart for His children. ?

And He will give you peace, and He will give you rest in the time of waiting.

Keep looking to see Him, and you will find Him!

“Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.”—Saint Augustine

And you will be amazed at what you see.

“But I will rescue you on that day, declares the Lord; you will not be given into the hands of those you fear. I will save you; you will not fall by the sword but will escape with your life, because you trust in me, declares the Lord.’”—Jeremiah 39:17-18

Thank You, Father. I trust YOU! ??
