“Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”—Jeremiah 29:13
When we seek Him wholeheartedly, we will find Him… it’s what the Word says.
Do we really believe this or not?
…but sometimes we must learn to stand, and to keep standing on what we know,
in times of waiting…
in the midst of the uncertainty.
in the midst of the bad news.
in the midst of the looming disappointment…
And it can be agonizing…well—if we allow ourselves to sway.
Or… it can also be surprisingly exciting as we wait for our God with anticipation and expectancy and hopeful hearts that KNOW OUR GOD!
OUR GOD NEVER FAILS US! HE NEVER LEAVES US!
I have had this POUNDING in my heart over the last couple of months, and more than ever this morning…and I don’t want to let go of it, and I feel that I do not need to let go of it…
It’s like I hear Him say…
“… just—wait—wait on Me. Keep watching for Me! Just hang in there, just hold on! You CAN be excited! You GET TO BE EXCITED as you watch and wait for your God! For I will never fail you, I will never leave you, I will never abandon My people. And I have heard the prayers of My people! I have not ignored the issues! That little burst of “hope” that you’ve found inside of you? Hang onto it for dear life. Don’t lose sight of Me, don’t give up on looking wholeheartedly for Me in this time of waiting… for when you don’t give up on keeping your eyes firmly locked—searching for Me with your whole heart… You WILL see me, You WILL find me. You will see the wonderful things that I will do.”
And sometimes I hear the accusing and lying voices of the enemy pounding on my heart, trying to crush this hope, trying to steal my peace, attempting to force their way into my mind while screaming,
“Oh, you’re just acting foolish like a little child waiting for Santa Claus…. just quit acting so ridiculous, don’t you know that you’ll be disappointed, don’t you know how foolish you will seem? You’ll regret it.”
I WILL NEVER REGRET WATCHING AND WAITING FOR MY GOD!
If I am going to be “stubborn“—God let me be “stubborn” for YOU!
“…those who hope in Me will not be disappointed.”—Jeremiah 49:23
And my heart says,
“Father, can I cling to this?”
And His Word says,
“My soul clings to You;
Your right hand upholds me.”—Psalm 63:8
“But you are to cling to the LORD your God, as you have done to this day.”—Joshua 23:8
We must STAND and remember that our God has heard us!
We must stand and watch for Him, with hopeful hearts! We must hang onto the hope that He gives us!
Hearts that are filled with hope, and expectancy, and anticipation… and JOY.
Even in the midst of all that we see..
Even in the midst of all that we “see coming at us”…
Father, I know that my hope comes from You, because I place my trust in YOU…
“For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.“—Romans 15:4
“And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”—Romans 5:5
Here is what God has instructed us to do in this time…
“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”—Romans 12:12
“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”—Isaiah 40:31
Father, in the midst of all that I face around me in this time… lies, doubts, discouragement, temptation to fear man, temptation to despair, ridicule…Will You help me to have the eyes to look and to SEE You… and will You continue purifying my heart—this beautiful purification process You’ve had me going through with You…because I know that You’ve said in Your Word, those that are pure in heart, shall see You! And I want to see You!
Now is not the time to despair…
Now is not the time to lose hope…
Oh God, thank You for what You’ve placed in my heart—this hope. This “stubborn” kind of hope! ☺️☀️
Help me to have the strength and the stamina to keep “standing on my tip-toes”… watching and waiting...
to catch a glimpse,
Just like a little child…
Filled with trust, and hope and excitement!
Because I know, that I will get to see You!
And while I don’t know what it’s going to “look like”…
…it doesn’t MATTER…
because I’ll know… it will be You.
And when we know You, we’ll be able to recognize when it’s You.
And I pray that whoever reads these words, that You will INFUSE them with the hope they are longing for—the beautiful hope that You long for them to have and to cling to in this time.
Thank You, Father. ?
