1.26.2021 – A “Heart-to-Heart” with God…through Dreams

I absolutely love the way God speaks to us through our dreams. ?✨

I love the way God has prepared this unique language between Himself, and each one of us—a very specific language that He uses to speak to us —designed for us to learn and grasp and understand, through the dreams that we dream.

And do you know that His heart, more than anything, is that through these dreams, we draw nearer to Him?

That through dreams, our relationship with Him will flourish and grow as we seek Him for revelation and understanding, and as we draw nearer to Him to know Him more.

I love digging into, and marveling at the mystery of “dreams”… but more than anything, I am in awe of how personal our God is—and how He invites each one of us into this “heart-to-heart” dream language.

This way that He speaks to our hearts, and He shows us the condition of our hearts—He gets “real” with us! ☺️

And there are SO many different kinds of things He can show us through our dreams if we say “yes” to learning the language, and if we say “yes” to drawing nearer to Him.

Honestly, the “hunger” does come and go for me…

For seasons I’ll have such an intense hunger for learning…seeking and finding and discovering…

And other seasons that “hunger” won’t be as intense…

And honestly, digging into and seeking to understand the language of dreams has taken a back seat in my life for the last few months.

But I’ve been asking God to restore that intense “hunger” for discovering Him through understanding dreams, because I miss that with Him.

And as I’ve waited, I’ve had to realize that God is control of His part of these kinds of things—but I must make sure that I’m doing my part, and then He will do His.

Last night the Lord gave me a simple dream. It was one of those “self-condition/ destiny” dreams that gave me a deeper, clearer understanding of where I’m at in my journey with the Lord.

And the Lord so beautifully unfolded the understanding of the dream—so quickly, so clearly… and it seemed to infuse some excitement and hunger regarding “know Him through dreams” …into me again. ?

The Lord doesn’t want us to be “self-focused“….

He doesn’t want us to get so wrapped-up and consumed with ourselves, with all of the things going on in our own lives, our issues, our goals, what we want…. that we get blinded of what He has for us to do with our lives.

God IS about the heart.

He’s about my heart.

He’s about your heart.

He cares about the condition of our hearts.

Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.”—Proverbs 4:23

And He is about us being aware of the condition of our own hearts.

And I love the way He does this through dreams. ✨

…the way He can give us a dream to get our attention, and to help us to realize some very specific things that we need to be aware of.

It’s an invitation to walk through these things with Him.

And He paints a picture in such a personalized way that He wants us to be able to grasp and understand…

And He wants to draw us into a hunger that drives us to seek Him, and to know Him, and to draw nearer to Him—that we might begin to SEE Him as we find Him…and as we know Him, we also begin to know more about who He has created us to be, and what He has created us to do for His Kingdom.

“And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”—Ezekiel 36:26

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”—Matthew 5:8

…and it all begins to grow and flourish

…From this place of relationship with Him.

Seek Him, with your whole heart… and you WILL find Him. ?

It will be the most beautiful, the most glorious adventure you could ever even imagine. ?✨☀️

And every single step, every single KIND of step, with Him… is ALL worth it.

Thank You, Father. ?
