A Lesson in “Change” that Leads to Greater Trust

Well… here I find myself writing around 7 PM rather than 7 AM today…

The Lord changed a few things up a little bit today, didn’t He?

And I have to say, that I’m not surprised.

Especially with the way I like to hang on so tightly

to the “same”…

He knows that sometimes the thing that I really need

is change.

Sometimes the “lesson” is learning

there is no need

to fret

to fear

to worry

when He changes something around.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”—Philippians 4:6-8

Sometimes the “lesson” is learning not to be so concerned

that there may be something “wrong”

or “wrong with me”…

“Oh, God, what is happening?? Things are not the same!!”

But what if this particular lesson in “change”

is a lesson in learning

to trust Him

a little deeper?

Because He knows

when we’re clinging too hard

to our routines

to people in our lives

to our comfort zones

He knows our hearts. 💝

Thank You, Father. You know so well, what I need. 🌱☀️
