“When I am afraid,
I will put my trust in You.”—Psalm 56:3
Did you notice in that verse, that it says… “when” I am afraid?
Not “if“… but “when.”
“When my anxious thoughts multiply within me,
Your consolations delight my soul.”—Psalm 94:19
I love how David is so open and vulnerable about the battles that he faced.
Something about this, helps me to know, that I don’t have to try so hard to hide what I face.
You know, I believe there is a lot of shame associated with facing fear and anxiety.
“Something’s wrong with me, I don’t want others to see what I face. I’d rather just face it alone.”
I’ve felt it.
And this morning, I feel the need to say this...
You are NOT “less than”
if you face anxiety in your life.
You are NOT anxiety.
YOU are… a child of God.
“You have all become true children of God by faith in Jesus Christ!”—Galatians 3:26 TPT
And just because you’ve found yourself in a hard place
where you must face fear or anxiety…
Just because you’ve found yourself in a season
where it’s more intense for a while
it does not make you “weak” or “less than”
It only means
that in Christ
He has made you able to face it
victoriously. 🙌
And in Him, you will...
And it means…
that in spite of it—
fear
anxiety
depression
In HIM…you WILL prevail.
He WILL see you through.
Because He lives within you
…you are made STRONG
in that which you must face!
Yes, “anxiety” wants to take you down.
Yes, “anxiety” wants to destroy your life.
But God…
He lives within you!
And He is so. much. GREATER than “anxiety.”
So face it. Battle through it.
Do not be ashamed
that you must face it.
Don’t feel that you must hide your battle.
For even this…
even the days when you feel as though anxiety might “win”
even the days when you’ve said,
“God, I don’t know that I can handle much more of this…”
Even THESE things that you face…will become another page of your testimony. 📖✍🏻💖
And God wants to use it —He wants to use YOU in such a way…
that is more beautiful and glorious than you ever could have imagined. 💗✨
There are others out there who need to know
that they are not alone in what they face.
There are people out there who need to know
that they are NOT what they face
“Anxiety” is not your identity.
There are others out there who need to know
that God can use them IN THIS…
and THROUGH this
and from OUT of THIS.
So take courage! And remember… that YOU are a child of God.
You are His, and He lives within you. 💖
Trust Him, and be amazed at what He will do, as He makes something so beautiful out of your pain. ✨
“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial that has come upon you, as though something strange were happening to you.”—1 Peter 4:12
“So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while.”—1 Peter 1:6
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory…”—2 Corinthians 4:17
Thank You, Father. 💝
