The Lord has been speaking to me about “fruit”…
What is the “fruit” of my actions?
My decisions?
The way I go about doing something?
The way I respond?
What kind of “fruit” comes from being in
a “time of waiting”?
A time in “the unknown”?
What kind of “fruit” comes of it?
What is actually produced?
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.”—John 15:1-2
The “fruit” that is produced
shows me what is really going on
in the root system
…in the heart.
“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit…“—Matthew 7:15-20
“Therefore bear fruits in keeping with repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham for our father,’ for I say to you that from these stones God is able to raise up children to Abraham. Indeed the axe is already laid at the root of the trees; so every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”—Luke 3:8-9
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”—John 15:4-5
Thank You, Father, for helping us to see, to know by the “fruit”… the “fruit” will show us what is really going in the “root system”… how You help us to know, what we need to know, to be aware, and to be able to grow. First in our own hearts, and then, in the things going on around us in our lives.
“This is what the Lord says:
“Cursed is the one who trusts in man,
who draws strength from mere flesh
and whose heart turns away from the Lord.
6 That person will be like a bush in the wastelands;
they will not see prosperity when it comes.
They will dwell in the parched places of the desert,
in a salt land where no one lives.7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
8 They will be like a tree planted by the water
