…I poured into my journal this morning. 📝✨
It felt good
to get these things in my heart
out, and into the light ☀️
…before my Heavenly Father. 💝
How healing and beautifully revealing it is
to simply dwell with Him. 💖
Thank You, Father. 💝
This morning, I found myself asking this question:
“Father, what are You teaching me here—
where I am
in this season
right now?”
I am learning a lot about seasons right now
and “growth”
and “fruit”
and also about healthy foundations—firm, and healthy “root systems”…
“But blessed is the man who trusts me, God,
the woman who sticks with God.
They’re like trees replanted in Eden,
putting down roots near the rivers—
Never a worry through the hottest of summers,
never dropping a leaf,
Serene and calm through droughts,
bearing fresh fruit every season.”—Jeremiah 17:8-10 MSG
In some seasons, it feels like we do a lot of growing…there is a sense of intensity…
And in other seasons, it feels like we go through a lot of “pruning”…
and God is making sure we have healthy, established “root systems”
These seasons are different, and they feel different, because God is doing something different.
I believe that He would rather us grow to be healthy and well-established
“evergreens”
or “perennials”
…than to bloom intensely, like an “annual”
for only one season.
He cares about the deep things.
He cares about the health of our foundations, the roots.
This is His heart for us…
“For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters, That spreads out its roots by the river; And will not fear the heat when it comes…—Jeremiah 17:8 AMP
“They will be like trees growing beside a stream–trees with roots that reach down to the water, and with leaves that are always green. They bear fruit every year and are never worried by a lack of rain.”—Jeremiah 17:8 CEV
We learn in the crazy, intense, fast-paced seasons.
We learn in the quiet seasons.
And in ALL kinds of seasons…
We are living to learn
and we are learning to live…
And for the Child of God
there is opportunity—there is a valuable lesson to gain
in any kind of season.
There is a purpose for every season.
And He is teaching us how to live—
to thrive…
through them all… 🌳
“And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].”—Psalm 1:3
What kind of season are you in?
“Father, what lesson do You desire for me to gain, within THIS season that I’ve found myself in?”
