Leading Me Closer

Even in the “quiet”…

when I cannot hear You speaking,

when I do not understand…

I will know

I will remember

That You are always here.

That You are always drawing me near.

“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”—Psalm 145:18

And You remind me…

that sometimes

You speak in ways

that I need to draw closer

to be able to hear…

And You’ll give me “fresh ears”…

“refined hearing”

as You draw me near.

And so I press in

and I wait

as You lead me there.

And You remind me…

that I am Your sheep

and I am created to hear You speak.

You desire

for me to know

You designed me to be able to hear

what is on Your heart.

And You’re leading me there…

“My own sheep will hear my voice and I know each one, and they will follow me.”—John 10:27 TPT

I’m learning to know You, Father. 💝

And You are speaking…

You are leading me closer.

You are inviting me nearer…

You are teaching me how

to draw nearer to You.

You are teaching me

to know You more.

You are teaching me Your ways…

through moment by moment

situation by situation…

In everything

You are taking me somewhere.

You are leading me

and teaching me

how to be closer with You.

How to know You more…

Blessed is the one who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting beside my doors.”—Proverbs 8:34

And you saw how the Lord your God cared for you all along the way as you traveled through the wilderness, just as a father cares for his child. Now he has brought you to this place.’”—Deuteronomy 1:31

Thank You, Father. 💝
