“I don’t think the way you think.
The way you work isn’t the way I work.”
“For as the sky soars high above earth,
so the way I work surpasses the way you work,
and the way I think is beyond the way you think.
Just as rain and snow descend from the skies
and don’t go back until they’ve watered the earth,
Doing their work of making things grow and blossom,
producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry,
So will the words that come out of my mouth
not come back empty-handed.
They’ll do the work I sent them to do,
they’ll complete the assignment I gave them.“—Isaiah 55:8-11 The Message
God keeps taking me back to this passage lately.
He keeps reminding me
that His ways are not my ways.
Things are not as they seem on the surface.
Our weaknesses are not really “weaknesses” to Him.
And the way He does things, is often “behind the scenes”
…and the outcome
is surprising to our little minds
and so beautifully and magnificently felt
within our hearts!
How many times…
have we asked in prayer…
and what we are “given”…
is so beyond what we could have dreamed up ourselves?
…so beyond what we could have expected…
Because His way is far, far better…
than anything we could have dreamed up or imagined ourselves.
Lord, help us to be ready
to take Your way,
to align and to obey,
in any given moment.
Prepare us, to be ready
for whatever it is
that You desire to do.
How You surprise us…🎊
How You catch us “off guard” sometimes.
And sometimes we feel like we’ve failed.
But You’re teaching us, You’re training us. 🚵🏻♀️
Help us to not miss when it’s You.
Help us to recognize Your will and Your way…
Keep cultivating my heart, Father.
Keep leading me in Your way. 💗🌱
(…and He reminds me…
that He will so faithfully finish
what He’s started in me…)
“I pray with great faith for you, because I’m fully convinced that the One who began this gracious work in you will faithfully continue the process of maturing you until the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ!”—Philippians 1:6 TPT
Thank You, Father. 💝
