The Painful Purification Process

“Who can discern his own errors? Cleanse me from my hidden faults.”—Psalm 19:12

Have you ever prayed this?

He’ll do it, oh, He will do it.

God will test us, and sometimes in that time of testing

things will rise to the surface of our hearts,

and we’ll feel the pain.

A “test” from God can be painful

…but if we look at the whole thing

from God’s perspective

He’ll help us to see

that the pain that we experience

the discomfort

all of this is really

a powerful part

of His “purification process” for our lives.

And He tests us because He loves us.

He tests us because He’s preparing us.

He tests us because He wants to TRUST us.

He tests us because He wants to position us.

He tests us because He wants us to not miss out, on getting to walk out His purpose for our lives!

I’m going through a painful process right now…

But God is helping me to see, from His higher perspective.

And I’ve come to this…

Am I willing to go through a painful struggle—a test

to face it head-on…

that it may very well cause me pain?

Am I willing

to allow this painful test

to purify me?

Am I willing to face the pain… to feel the sting of it, to experience it?

Not avoid it,

not run and hide from it,

do anything to numb, to keep from experiencing it…

…even out of fear

of the pain “tempting me into sin.”

When we repent and turn, and face the issue within our hearts with God…

He will help us in the “turning”—He KNOWS we cannot do it alone!

He will catch us!

He will help us as we endure through the pain of it.

And He’ll be there to mend our hearts, in a way that only He can.

He’s transforming our hearts, through His purification process. 💖

Am I willing to “take the test” that He’s prepared for me?

Can I trust Him enough, to teach me—to guide me through it?

To see me through…

Because when God gives us a “test”

He’s allowing it, He’s presented it

…so that He can promote us.

He wants us to pass!

But sometimes He allows the pain

because He knows

it’s part of His purification process…

…but He’s faithful to help us through. 💗☀️

So Father, I thank You, even for the pain that You allow me to experience in my soul… how I’ve felt it lately, and it hurts… but I thank You, because You know what You are doing, and I trust You to take me through the things that need to be transformed and tested in my heart. And I trust You, to mend my heart, to transform my heart…and I trust You to see me through! God, I will take this test, with You!

“Test me, O LORD, and try me; examine my heart and mind.”—Psalm 26:2

“I know that you delight to set your truth deep in my spirit. So come into the hidden places of my heart and teach me wisdom.”—Psalm 51:6 TPT

God, create a clean heart for me and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”—Psalm 51:10

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my concerns. See if there is any offensive way in me; lead me in the everlasting way.”—Psalm 139:23-24

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come.”—2 Corinthians 5:17
