The thing about “seasons”…

To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven…” —Ecclesiastes 3:1

He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding…”—Daniel 2:21

The thing about “seasons” is…

they’re different

they change

…and they change us.

God uses them to remove us (and to save us) from remaining in “the same.”

God knew that we would need “different seasons”—He knew we would need “change”—didn’t He?

for growth

for rest

for pruning

for harvest

There are different things,

He knew we would need

that will shape us

…in every different season.

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.“—Galatians 6:9

“Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.”—2 Timothy 4:2

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”—Psalm 1:3

“For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. The fig tree ripens its figs, and the vines are in blossom; they give forth fragrance. Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away.”—SOS 2:11-13

Thank You, Father. 💝 Thank You for the way You lead us into the “change”—that we so desperately need, so that we can change, and flourish and grow in this life, with You.

He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]—yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end.”—Ecclesiastes 3:11 AMP
