7.3.2021 – Guardian of Our Hearts

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God…“—Philippians 4:6

“…do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”—Isaiah 43:18-19

God Protects Us

A song of the stairway

121 1–2 I look up to the mountains and hills, longing for God’s help.
But then I realize that our true help and protection
    is only from the Lord,

our Creator who made the heavens and the earth.
He will guard and guide me, never letting me stumble or fall.
God is my keeper; he will never forget nor ignore me.
He will never slumber nor sleep;
he is the Guardian-God for his people, Israel.
Yahweh himself will watch over you;
he’s always at your side to shelter you safely in his presence.

He’s protecting you from all danger both day and night.
He will keep you from every form of evil or calamity
as he continuously watches over you.
You will be guarded by God himself.
You will be safe when you leave your home,
    and safely you will return.
    He will protect you now,
    and he’ll protect you forevermore!”

The good man brings good things out of the good treasure of his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil treasure of his heart. For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.”—Luke 6:45

Would not God discover this? For he knows the secrets of the heart.“—Psalm 44:21

“The Lord does not see as mortals see; they look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”—1 Samuel 16:1-13

Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD will be a light to me.“—Micah 7:8

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”—Psalm 51:10

“So above all, guard the affections of your heart,
for they affect all that you are.
Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being,
for from there flows the wellspring of life.“—Proverbs 4:23

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”—Hebrews 4:12

I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”—Psalm 119:11

“I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.”—Ephesians 1:18

The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”—1 Timothy 1:5

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.“—Matthew 5:8

“And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”—Philippians 4:7

“…let

it

go
into HIS hands.

He will take it from you.

He will lift it from you.

He will remove it,

He will heal it.

He will keep it

from darkening your heart

…from making you “sick.”

…from dimming His Light.

For He is the Guardian and Protector of our hearts…

He is the Seer Into,

the Revealer of Truth,

the Light.

And He

is the only One

who can turn a heart of stone

into a heart…

that is tender,

filled with love,

and made brand new. 💖✨

“‘For here’s what I’m going to do: I’m going to take you out of these countries, gather you from all over, and bring you back to your own land. I’ll pour pure water over you and scrub you clean. I’ll give you a new heart, put a new spirit in you. I’ll remove the stone heart from your body and replace it with a heart that’s God-willed, not self-willed. I’ll put my Spirit in you and make it possible for you to do what I tell you and live by my commands. You’ll once again live in the land I gave your ancestors. You’ll be my people! I’ll be your God!“—Ezekiel 36:26-28

Heavenly Father, thank You for keeping watch over our hearts, for searching our hearts, for doing the transformative work that needs to be done within our hearts…and then You teach us how to do our part in “watching over” our hearts, by the leading and revelation of Your Spirit. You are faithful to reveal to us, by Your Spirit… what we need to know…to be able to flourish in You! 💗🌷

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.“—Hebrews 10:22

(And just as I finish this post up, I look over and see this on the wall…I don’t know about you, but I see a broken heart, filled with light… those shattered, broken pieces to the side, are going to be made right.)

Thank You, Father. 💝
