“Trust God with who He’s created you to be.”
…this is what is on my heart this morning.
And it’s a deep, deep lesson I am learning in my life right now.
God is taking me through it,
until it sinks in,
through and through.
I’m seeing now, how it’s such an important lesson to grasp…
Because when we become dissatisfied with the way God created us to be, in Christ,
when we believe the lies that “we’re not enough”…
When we look to someone else, and think that we “should be more like them” or that “we’re not good enough”
…we’re tossing away everything that God intentionally built and designed into us
…for His purpose, within His plan, and in His way.
“Always be a first rate version of yourself and not a second rate version of someone else.”
― Judy Garland
Because who am I to decide
who am I to compare
to contrast, to “pro and con“
the things that God has created and built inside us, each one?
“Find out who you are and do it on purpose.” —Dolly Parton
These things are up to Him, these things are not for my worry or concern.
These things are out of my hands, as they should be.
Because how many times
would I have tossed away “who I am”…
so that I could be
more like someone else?
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”—Ephesians 2:10
“Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them…”—Romans 12:6
“For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.”—Galatians 1:10
His ways are higher than my ways! ☀️
For I am to simply trust, and be… who God put me on the earth to be.
He designed me into this “puzzle” of life!
And He designed me, and invited me…into His eternity!
I can trust Him. 💝
I can rest…
And I can trust His process…
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”—Proverbs 3:5-6
“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.”—Psalm 20:7
“For the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.”—Proverbs 3:26
“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”—Psalm 139:14
Thank You, Father. 💝
