7.31.2021 – He Leads me into what is Simple and True

“The unfolding of Your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.

—Psalm 119:130

Heavenly Father,

thank You for leading me into “simplicity”…

when my mind gets overwhelmed,

and bogged down,

and burdened

by all the details, and all of my wonderings

“For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace.”

—I Corinthians 14:33

I know,

that when my mind is trying to “take over” and I’m overwhelmed— I simply need more communion with You.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”

—Revelation 3:20

And it is in that place of Your presence—and deep within Your Word… that I am reminded

…of what is simple, and what is true.

You reveal Your way…

Your wisdom, Your perspective…

YOUR revelation ✨

And You reveal the “main thing”…

…in any situation I could ever find myself in.

Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”—John 14:23

Lord Jesus, You have this way in Your presence…

of clearing away

allllll of the things that

just

do not

really

matter.

“The closer one approaches to God, the simpler one becomes.”

—St. Teresa Of Avila

And then You lead me into

the pure and simple things that do. 💝

But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

—Matthew 6:30-33

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

—Philippians 4:8

Thank You, Father. 💝
