8.19.2021 – “What REALLY matters?”

I don’t know about you…

but sometimes I get caught up in “all the things”

that really

matter in the moment…

Yes, they do matter.

When I stop and look into “eternity”—into heaven’s perspective…

…and when look into what is truly important in my “right here, right now”…

“Do alllllll of these things really matter as much as I think they do right now?”

Probably not.

I love how Jesus “simplifies the situation.”

He’s always bringing “simplification” to my “complication.”

I love how He reminds me of what truly matters in the moment, and in the face of eternity.

He calms the storm of “overwhelm” and “distraction,”

He brings everything to a calm…

as He reminds me

of what truly is most important of all.

HE is here.

HE is near.

I find Him in the “eye of the swirling storm.”

And as I place my focus back on Him,

as I return to His feet

He reminds me

of what is truly

most important of all.

“Lord, what is on Your heart? What matters most to YOU right now?”

Mary and Martha

38-40 As they continued their travel, Jesus entered a village. A woman by the name of Martha welcomed him and made him feel quite at home. She had a sister, Mary, who sat before the Master, hanging on every word he said. But Martha was pulled away by all she had to do in the kitchen. Later, she stepped in, interrupting them. “Master, don’t you care that my sister has abandoned the kitchen to me? Tell her to lend me a hand.”

41-42 The Master said, “Martha, dear Martha, you’re fussing far too much and getting yourself worked up over nothing. One thing only is essential, and Mary has chosen it—it’s the main course, and won’t be taken from her.”—Luke 10:38-42

“Jesus answered him, “The most important of all the commandments is this: ‘The Lord Yahweh, our God, is one!’30 You are to love the Lord Yahweh, your God, with a passionate heart, from the depths of your soul, with your every thought, and with all your strength. This is the great and supreme commandment.”—Mark 12:29-31 TPT

Thank You, Lord. 💖☀️ How You simplify my situation, and remind me of what is true. How You are always drawing me back to You.
