8.24.2021 – Perspective

I love when God confirms things…

I always get a little giddy when He does that,

because I am so excited to learn,

and to practice

seeing and hearing Him in my moment by moment. šŸ’–šŸ’”

This morning, as I put on some music, it came to the song called “Heavens Perspective“…

…and then as my heart began to swell with a prayer, I took up my pen…

Good Morning, Lord. ā˜€ļø

How I need Your perspective

in order to find the way

through this day.

How I need to see

the way You see things,

how I need to feel, and to love

in a way that is in line with Your heart…

That I may know, that I may see

what YOU are leading me into,

and what YOU have for me to do.

Father, will You shift my perspective in any area that I am not seeing clearly?

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”—Psalm 32:8

You lead me in the way I should go,

You clear it all up,

You guide me…

into what is true,

and what is of You.

Thank You, Lord. ā˜€ļø

I pray this in the name of Jesus,

Amen

…and then after I set down my pen, I glanced at a devotional email that came through for today, and noticed how it all lined up this morning.

So I felt I was to share it here as well:

SMALL STRAWS by MARSHA BURNS: “How we see ourselves and others depends on our perspective. We all look at things from our own angle and our unique ability to understand what we see. But if we are to see clearly we must look through the eyes of the Spirit to see from God’s perspective. When we align ourselves with Him we will always perceive the truth.Ā Matthew 7:3-5 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, Let me remove the speck from your eye; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Thank You, Lord. šŸ’–šŸŽ¶ ā˜€ļø I love these adventures with You, as You lead me into what is true.
