I love to write.
But I’ll be honest…
When my conditions and my surroundings aren’t completely ideal,
it can be a struggle for me to hear the words to put onto the page.
I so easily get distracted, I so easily get overwhelmed.
But God has been teaching me…
He’s been helping me to recognize…
that He’s with me wherever I am.
He’s speaking what I need,
He’s guiding my every minute of the day.
There is wisdom that He is teaching and speaking, in every situation that I face.
“Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.”—Psalm 143:8
Sometimes I struggle to hear, to recognize, to see Him
in the midst of what feels like “chaos” to me.
In the midst of anxiety,
in the midst of all that is swirling around me…
Sometimes my sensitivity is through the ROOF, and I become overwhelmed by my surroundings.
But God is training me—He’s teaching me to be able to recognize Him, in whatever situation I’m in. 💝
“Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.”—Psalm 25:5
How we so desperately need this training in the world we live in.
I know I so desperately need it.
But God, You have this way of speaking to me, of being present with me—Your Spirit within me,
wherever I am
within whatever situation I face.
And I may be in the process of learning
to recognize Your voice,
to recognize Your nature—Your WAY
…in the midst of all of the things that swirl around me in this day…
I am learning to see You…to look for You expectantly
in whatever situation
that I find myself in.
“God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God.”—Matthew 5:8
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].”—2 Timothy 1:7 AMP
God I thank You for this “training ground.”
You know what I need,
and You’re shaping me
who I’ve been created to be(come).
“Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.”—Psalm 25:4
Thank You, Holy Spirit, for teaching me.
“The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.”—Lamentations 3:25
“If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”—Jeremiah 29:13
