9.7.2021 – “The secret things belong to the Lord…”

“The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant.”—Psalm 25:14

“It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.”—Proverbs 25:2

“He uncovers the deeps out of darkness and brings deep darkness to light.”—Job 12:22

“The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.”—Deuteronomy 29:29

“Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling!”—Psalm 43:3

I love the mystery of God. 💖✨

This morning I have been meditating on this:

There are things that God is orchestrating,

there are things that He is bringing together,

there are things that He is doing

bringing into order,

setting into place,

…things that He is doing,

that are “behind the scenes“…

…in the hidden place

—in the place of “unseen.”

And while, for now… He gives us glimpses,

and we only see in part…

There will be a time

when all will so gloriously be revealed

in His light!

And ALL that is concealed in hiddenness— for a purpose,

for a time,

will be revealed,

and be seen!

“And the glory and majesty and splendor of the LORD will be revealed, And all humanity shall see it together; For the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.”—Isaiah 40:5

“Praise to the Victorious God” (Isaiah 25)

O LORD, You are my God!

I will exalt You;

I will praise Your name.

For You have worked wonders—

plans formed long ago—

in perfect faithfulness.

Indeed, You have made the city a heap of rubble,

the fortified town a ruin.

The fortress of strangers is a city no more;

it will never be rebuilt.

Therefore, a strong people will honor You.

The cities of ruthless nations will revere You.

For You have been a refuge for the poor,

a stronghold for the needy in distress,

a refuge from the storm,

a shade from the heat.

For the breath of the ruthless

is like rain against a wall,

like heat in a dry land.

You subdue the uproar of foreigners.

As the shade of a cloud cools the heat,

so the song of the ruthless is silenced.

On this mountain the LORD of Hosts

will prepare a banquet for all the peoples,

a feast of aged wine, of choice meat,

of finely aged wine.

On this mountain He will swallow up

the shroud that enfolds all peoples,

the sheet that covers all nations;

He will swallow up death forever.

The Lord GOD will wipe away the tears from every face

and remove the disgrace of His people

from the whole earth.

For the LORD has spoken.

And in that day it will be said, “Surely this is our God;

we have waited for Him, and He has saved us.

This is the LORD for whom we have waited.

Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”

For the hand of the LORD

will rest on this mountain.

But Moab will be trampled in his place

as straw is trodden into the dung pile.

He will spread out his hands within it,

as a swimmer spreads his arms to swim.

His pride will be brought low,

despite the skill of his hands.

The high-walled fortress will be brought down,

cast to the ground, into the dust.”

And in that day…

all that He has done,

and all that He is doing now,

will so gloriously come together

as we behold the majesty of His glory,

…the beauty of His magnificent story!

So take courage,

take heart!

Be encouraged!

For God is doing a good thing!

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”—Romans 8:28

Thank You, Father. 💝
