“For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.”—Galatians 1:10
“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.”—Matthew 6:1
“For they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God.”—John 4:23
“The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.“—Proverbs 24:25
Can I be transparent?
Can I let you in…
on a deep “heart check” the Lord is leading me in? ❤️🔥
It kind of goes like this…
“How often do I look to see
what the ‘approval of man’
is ‘speaking’ to me?
How often do I seek
the ‘opinion of man’
to show me which way I should go?
How often do I rely
on ‘approval’
to be my ‘navigation tool’…
…my ‘guide‘…
to ‘tell me’ if I am ‘failing‘,
or if I am ‘doing alright‘?
Heavenly Father, I realize…
that it happens within my heart
…all …the… time.“
Do you sometimes struggle with this too?
And it’s like I hear my Father respond and say…
“My child, you must toss the desire for the ‘approval of man’ aside! Remember to let My leading be your navigation—let My eyes, My perspective… be your truth guide. For I created you, and I love you, and I have GOOD PLANS for your life! By My leading, you will not be tossed from side to side!”
And with fresh resolve in my heart,
I am reminded,
I know…
that I do not need the “approval of man”
to guide me in which way I should go.
For I am led by God Almighty, Himself!
And in Christ, He lives in me!
And by the light of His Word,
He guides me, faithfully!
And by His Spirit, and His truth,
He reminds me,
He sets me free! 💖☀️
“Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.”—Psalm 143:8
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”—Colossians 3:29-25
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”—Psalm 32:8
“The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is on my side as my helper; I shall look in triumph on those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.”—Psalm 118:6-9
Thank You, Father, for so faithfully, and lovingly, and truthfully reminding me… of Your truth that sets me free!
