“The Lord is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?”—Psalm 27:1
“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”—Ephesians 5:11
I used to be too afraid to look into a dark window…
because I was afraid of what I might see.
…my lens was “fear“…
But God has been at work in me. 💗☀️
I like to sit at the window at the darkest part of the morning…
as I wait,
as I anticipate…
…seeing the sun rise. ☀️✨
And the sun WILL rise!
And just like the sun…
…the Light of Christ WILL rise and shine in this darkness…
“…’the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned.’”—Matthew 4:16
And His name is Jesus, the Light of the World. 🌎☀️
“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’”—John 8:12
And not one of His “sheep” is too far from His reach!
Not ‘one’ has gone too far, that He cannot see!
“What do you think? If any man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go and search for the one that is straying?”—Matthew 18:12
“For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.“—1 Peter 2:25
“I hear the Lord saying, ‘I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!” So my conclusion is this: Many are the sorrows and frustrations of those who don’t come clean with God. But when you trust in the Lord for forgiveness, his wraparound love will surround you. So celebrate the goodness of God! He shows this kindness to everyone who is his. Go ahead—shout for joy, all you upright ones who want to please him!'”—Psalm 32:8-11 TPT
…and He gives us sight to SEE! 💖✨☀️
That we’ll no longer ‘live‘ in the deception of the darkness,
because we have SEEN A GREAT LIGHT,
and His truth has set us free!
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”—1 Peter 2:9
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever practices the truth comes into the Light, so that it may be seen clearly that what he has done has been accomplished in God.”—John 3:16-21
And this is our call…
“Now about the times and seasons, brothers, we do not need to write to you. For you are fully aware that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “Peace and security,” destruction will come upon them suddenly, like labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
But you, brothers, are not in the darkness so that this day should overtake you like a thief. For you are all sons of the light and sons of the day; we do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not sleep as the others do, but let us remain awake and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night; and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and the helmet of our hope of salvation.
For God has not appointed us to suffer wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him. Therefore encourage and build one another up, just as you are already doing.”—1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
And this is our hope…
“But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.”—1 Thessalonians 5:8
“And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.”—Revelation 22:5
And I feel an urgency crying out within my heart…
“WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP! Rise and SHINE! It’s time to put on the ‘Armor of Light’….” 🌅
“The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.“—Romans 13:12
And this is my prayer…
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.“—Ephesians 1:18
Thank You, Father. 💝 I feel Your heart this morning. I hear the urgency of what You are speaking in Your Word. God, You designed US to live and to shine in this time. May we grow to be… the Children of Light that You have designed us to be, shining with YOUR radiance and with the purity of Your love, as we live in this world for now…may we give way, to radiate…YOUR light… a light that is beckoning and calling into the darkness, from the deepest part of Your heart.
