12.7.2021 – Dwelling in the Danger Zone

You know, sometimes it seems like God allows us to live right, smack in the middle of the “danger zone.”

That’s actually pretty accurate.

Who knows how many things He’s rescued us from.

And if we think about it too much, in the wrong way, believing the lies that fear would like us to believe…

If we focus on the “danger zone” more than we focus on the One who keeps us…

we can become crippled and tormented by fear.

We can begin to live in constant anxiety and fear about the situations we find ourselves surrounded in.

But if we think about it, in the way that is true

then we’ll remember

that even though we may be living right on the edge

or right smack in the danger zone…

really,

we are as safe as we can possibly be

within the presence of God,

and within His will for our lives. 💝

Think about it though…

Jesus wants us to LIVE

and to THRIVE

within the danger zone.

And we do live in this world—and yes, it is a “danger zone.”

But no matter what it looks like,

no matter what the threats of fear sound like,

no matter how grim, or overwhelming the situation may seem.

In Him, we can live, and we can thrive here. 🪴

If He says we can do it

then we can. 💓

And living it with Him

is, and will be

more than worth it.

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”—Psalm 91:1-2 NKJV

No matter what is going on around you right now,

in Jesus, you are KEPT.

He is holding you by the hand.

He knows what’s just ahead,

and He’s got your back.

In Him, you get to dwell in the safety of His presence.

What does that even mean?

Can it be different than we think sometimes? Different than we expect?

Yes, it can.

In the times when it seems like evil has won the battle,

confusion may sweep in.

Doubt and uncertainty can creep in.

The discomfort can feel like more than we can handle.

But we trust in the Lord!

In Him we shall stand!

And no matter how things seem,

no matter what things around us look like—or feel like…

“He shall cover you with His feathers,

And under His wings you

shall take refuge;

His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night.

Nor of the arrow that flies by day,

Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,

Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.”—Psalm 91:4-6

Thank You, Father. 💝

You are infusing my heart with Your truth.

You are wrapping Your peace around me.

No matter where I am,

no matter what is happening around me,

no matter where I stand…

I am safe within Your presence. 🍃☀️
