1.3.2022 – Learning to Trust a Trustworthy God

Let’s face it…

there are things that happen in this life

that we do not understand. 💔

“God, how can You allow this?”

“God, what are You doing?

“God, what is happening?”

“God, my heart is breaking right now…”

It’s so easy to stop, and take a look around at all of the things that we see happening…

to feel all of the emotions that we feel…

and believe

that God may not have a handle on the situation.

But what if

God can see the bigger picture? (And He can.)

What if

there is something happening right now, that we cannot see? (And we know that there is.)

Something that is going to lead to something

far greater

that God is orchestrating together for His greater purpose.

Can we trust Him, even when things aren’t going the way we want them to go?

Can we trust and remember that He knows what He’s doing?

There is nothing that He has or will ever miss, or accidentally mess up on!

He knows all things.

Can we trust Him in this?

Because no matter what we face,

no matter what God allows to happen

no matter what God “does” or “does not” seem to do…

He is God.

He is a GOOD God.

He has ALL understanding.

Because, yes… He CAN see the full, finished picture. 💝

And guess what…

If God says we can make it through,

we can—no matter how it may seem in the moment.

Do we know this deep down, through and through?

He is teaching us to trust.

He is cultivating relationship with us.

He is giving us our testimony.📖✨

As we learn this lesson of trust with Him, there is opportunity for relationship to be cultivated, and for testimony to be gained!

Can we remember this in the moments that we need to remember?

He will help us. 💖🍃

In the hardest of times,

we must keep trusting Him,

we must keep declaring our trust in Him, no matter what we see (or don’t see) happening around us.

“Let faith be your eyes.”

“And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.”—Psalm 9:10

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”—Psalm 3:5

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.”—Psalm 28:7

And we can ask Him to help us with this, because we do need His help. 💓

You know, we can be honest with Him whenever we struggle with trust.

He’s so patient and kind with us. 💝

Think about it…

…this LIFE is about learning to trust Him, in every circumstance!

The lesson of trust isn’t an easy one to learn,

but it’s worth it.

of growing in trusting Him

is worth it.

He’s cultivating something good.

Do you know what He is cultivating in us?

“This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.”—Psalm 91:2

We know that we know,

and we know that He is good,

and we know that He is a trustworthy God! ☀️

“Father, I don’t understand why You are taking me this way. I don’t understand why this ‘thing’ is in my path to have to face… but I know that You’re walking with me, and I know that no matter how it seems right now, You will never leave me…and I know that there are things that I cannot see in my path ahead, that only You can. And so I will continue to thank You, and praise You, and I will trust You with this life, even when I do not understand. Help me to grow in trusting You! In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.”

“And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].”—Psalm 1:3 AMP
