I no longer write on this blog every day…
(There, I said it…
…and do you know how much I’ve wrestled with it?)
Do I still write? Yes.
Will I still write? I sure hope so!
But things have changed a lot in my life, and things have changed a lot in my writing, or I should say, things have shifted in the way I “chronicle” my day these days.
But I’m trusting God, and I know that He is leading me and directing me.
And honestly, what He has been leading me into lately has been so different, and sometimes very uncomfortable—He’s been changing up the kinds of “lessons” and “challenges” that He’s taking me through.
I know that whatever He has in store is what I need to continue growing in Him, and in being able to LIVE this life that I have been created to live.
He never changes, but He knows that we need change, and so He often nudges us along into “change.”
So I’ll quit kicking and screaming about it, and just let go of what I’m “used to” as He takes me into brand new things…
Just wanted to get that off my chest. 😊
But I did have something that I need to share this morning…
And it actually came as I was working with my two young miniature donkeys, Clover and Flower.
Sometimes the thing a person really needs (and the thing perhaps we need) it to be absolutely surprised and caught off guard by the patience, and compassion, and the tender lovingkindness of Jesus Christ…
Especially in times we deserve it the least.
Sometimes what a person with a shut down, hardened heart or fearful heart really needs…
(and yes, a lot of amazing grace).
The pure love and compassion of Jesus Christ.
His lovingkindness breaks through and leads us to repentance like no other.
He’s the One who changes hearts,
He’s the One who changes lives…
and here’s the incredible part…
Jesus invites us in,
and we get to take part in the work of His heart!
…and then HE does the miracle. 💖✨
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”—Galatians 5:22-23
Let us remember the ways of Jesus today.
Let us remember the simplicity and the purity of the gospel of Christ.
Let us remember that He has invited us into His Kingdom…
that we might say “yes” to His invitation…
…and that the will of God be done on earth as it is in heaven, even today.
Thank You, Lord. 💝
